A different Verizon Let America be America Again

American the land of dreams and life
The world of thoughts and lies
The time of human race
But just one fit the grace
The world of black and white
We know who rule the right
AMERICAN WAS ALWAYS AMERICAN TO ME THEY PROTEST THEIR HUMAN RIGHT
American the land of freedom and immigrant
Or so their stories told
They will welcome you with open hand
Because you need their help
The time of slaves has past
But some still do remains
They look at you with pain
Indeed I need their help
AMERICAN WAS ALWAYS AMERICAN TO ME THEY PROTEST THEIR HUMAN RIGHT
Their smile was hard but cold
But still I need a gold
My kinds turn their backs
Because I’m the immigrant
American the land of freedom and immigrant
Or so their story told
They welcome me with cold at heart
Because I need their help

Let America be America AGAIN

America, my land of dreams and
life
My world of technology and hope
The change of human race
Don’t we all fit the grace?
The world my grandmother dreamt of
But a hopeless dream she had
A dream never brought to her reality
But it doesn’t hurt to dream
I dream everyday with hope of America
And so my dream came to life
Grandma should have dreamt harder
Should have Reach out longer
Pray harder
Just try harder
And now I’m living her dream
Now in America
With law which abides
They will welcome me with open hand
Or was it with steels in heart
But we came to feel the right
Was it not free with dreams of hope?
The time of slaves has passed
But some still remains
Or this is what we are told to believe
They look at us as if we are wrong
Or do we still wear the mask
Indeed Langston Hughes was right
America was set as high
Their smile was meant to be fake and cold
Or so their stories told
But It’s still brought me things in life that grandma will never have
America is the land of freedom
America is a reality
But grandma forgot to wake up from her dreams
Grandma said there are no such things as hope
Indeed there is
But she will never know
She is long asleep
How I wish the experience was great
But still I have the dreams
The dreams I don’t know I have
The dreams Hughes have
And the dream grandma was unable to bring to her reality
Should I wake her up?
Do I dare tell her?
No
Let America be America again, it always was to me
But
 ?
